Curt J. Brown is the Editorial Director of the Center for Education & Employment Law. Prior to assuming his present position, he gained extensive experience in business-to-business publishing, including management of well-known publications such as What’s Working in Human Resources, What’s New in Benefits & Compensation, Keep Up to Date with Payroll, Supervisors Legal Update, and Facility Manager’s Alert. Mr. Brown graduated from Villanova University School of Law and graduated magna cum laude from Bloomsburg University with a B.S. in Business Administration. He is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
Thomas D’Agostino is a managing editor at the Center for Education & Employment Law and is the editor of Higher Education Legal Alert. He is a co-author of Keeping Your School Safe & Secure: A Practical Guide. He graduated from the Duquesne University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree from Ramapo College of New Jersey. He is a past member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities as well as the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Legal Services to Persons with Disabilities Committee. Mr. D’Agostino is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar.
James A. Roth is editor of Legal Notes for Education and Special Education Law Update, and a co-editor of Students with Disabilities and Special Education Law. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota and William Mitchell College of Law, and is admitted to the Minnesota Bar. Mr. Roth is an adjunct faculty member at Hamline University, St. Paul, Minnesota, and an adjunct program assistant professor at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota, Twin Cities Campus.
Elizabeth A. Wheeler is editor of the monthly newsletter Private Education Law Report, the Private School Law in America deskbook, and the Deskbook Encyclopedia of Public Employment Law. She’s also a contributing editor for the newsletter Higher Education Legal Alert and managing editor of Public Employment Law Report. A graduate of Macalester College and Capital University Law School, she’s a member of the Massachusetts bar. Before joining the Center for Education & Employment Law, she was a legal editor for a South Boston publisher, where she edited employment law and education law newsletters.
Laurel Kalser is the editor of the monthly newsletters Employment Law Report and Public Employment Law Report. Ms. Kalser graduated cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, and received her law degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board for outstanding appellate advocacy. Ms. Kalser is admitted to the Florida Bar.
Carol Warner is the editor of School Safety & Security Alert and Legal Update for Teachers. She is also a contributing editor for Higher Education Legal Alert. Before joining the Center for Education & Employment Law, she was an editor for two employment law newsletters: What’s Working in Human Resources and What’s New in Benefits & Compensation. Carol is a graduate of The New York Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with an emphasis in professional writing.
